Returning Student (Endowed) Scholarships

Returning students are eligible for Endowed scholarships. See more information provided below.

Scholarship applications are accepted February 1 – March 1 and must be emailed to the Financial Aid & Scholarship Office at  financialaid@clarksoncollege.edu  prior to the deadline. Applicants may submit reference letters with the completed scholarship application to  financialaid@clarksoncollege.edu or emailed by the requestee to  financialaid@clarksoncollege.edu.

  • Zero academic integrity violations on their academic record

Alumni Endowed Scholarship Application
  • Undergraduate student or graduate in at least 2 nd year of program.  
  • Enrolled a minimum of half-time.
  • Clarkson College GPA of at least 2.5.
  • Demonstrated financial need (determined by current FAFSA).
  • Demonstrated leadership (involvement in activities, committees, para-professional, or professional organizations).
Undergraduate student of any program

  • Undergraduate or graduate nursing student.
  • Demonstrated academic achievement at Clarkson College
  • Demonstrated financial need (determined by current FAFSA).

  • Min 3.0 GPA.

  • Awarded to (2) students: one Graduate Nursing student pursuing an MSN degree and one master’s level student pursuing a Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate. 
  • Preference given to a student who completed his/her undergraduate degree at Clarkson College 
  • Solid academic achievement.
  • Demonstrated financial need (determined by current FAFSA).

  • Undergraduate or Graduate Nursing student
  • Successfully completed at least the first year of the Nursing program at Clarkson College
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Exhibits a passion for caring for elderly/senior patients.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in class and, if applicable, in a practice setting
  • Demonstrated financial need may be considered but is not a requirement.
  • Awarded to one student per year.

Ellen R. Miller Endowed Scholarship Application
  • Undergraduate or Graduate Nursing student
  • Successfully completed at least the first year of the Nursing program at Clarkson College

Rachel Dinsmoor Endowed Scholarship Application
  • Undergraduate nursing student.
  • Consistently maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Active in clinical experiences in conjunction with Clarkson College and a partner medical facility.
  • Emulate the caring and compassionate qualities reflected by Rachel Dinsmoor.

  • Enrolled at least half-time.
  • Minimum Undergraduate Cumulative GPA of 2.75; minimum Graduate Cumulative GPA of 3.25.
  • Student shows promise of success in a profession.
  • Student demonstrates a passion for patient advocacy and expertise in care.

Scholarships are only one type of financial aid offered through the college. Other financial aid opportunities include grants, work study opportunities, and a variety of loans, including locally sponsored as well as federal loan opportunities. Clarkson College encourages students to explore all financial aid options available and to only borrow what they need to cover their educational costs.
