Pediatric Advanced Life Support

The purpose of the American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course is to educate healthcare professionals who respond to emergencies involving children and infants. This course is offered as an instructor led, video based course. Throughout the course students will participate in scenario based training to improve skills proficiency.

Course Prerequisites

  • Proficiency in BLS skills and CPR
  • Completion of the online pre-course assessment. Bring a printed copy of the results to class
  • PALS Renewal course participants must provide their current (not expired) PALS certification card to the instructor before the start of class.

Course Length

Initial PALS course is approximately 12 hours including skills, practice and testing.

Renewal PALS course is approximately 8 hours, including skills, practice and testing.

Course Materials

All PALS participants are required to have the PALS Provider Manual ©2020 prior to the start of the course. Textbook is included in course fee.


Location

All class sessions are held at Clarkson College, located on 42nd and Douglas Streets in Omaha, Neb.


Cancellation Policy

Class fees are non-refundable. Refunds are not provided if an individual cancels, does not attend or does not complete the entire class.
