Clarkson College has not always been a college. Instead, we began in 1888 as a school of nursing—the first in the state of Nebraska. Over the last 125 years, we've established a new campus, expanded our program offerings and adopted a new name. All the while, we've maintained a commitment to preparing our students to be the best in various realms of health care. Since 1888, our calling has remained the same: to prepare compassionate health care professionals to provide high-quality care. The past 130 years led us to where we are today, and they serve as a guide as we continue to prepare students to be the best in the various realms of health care.

Early hands-on experience in state-of-the-art labs on campus & at a diverse setting of clinical sites.

We find it essential to provide you with as many hands-on learning opportunities as possible before interacting with real patients. Our Simulation Lab includes a patient room, control center, debriefing room and two high-fidelity mannequins–one adult and one infant. The capability of the mannequins to simulate symptoms, diseases and conditions you are likely to see in a real health care setting allow you to perform many common procedures such as starting an IV, obtaining a blood sample, taking an X-ray, administering medications and more.

We created our residence hall to be open and inviting, which makes for an easy transition from home. Our four-bedroom apartment-style suites come with two bathrooms, a full-appliance kitchen and a living space. We provide Wi-Fi, basic cable, a fitness center and laundry facility–all free to you as a resident. In your spare time, you can partake in regular community activities or get involved as a Resident Advisor or Residence Hall Council member.
