Lambda Nu Honor Society

Lambda Nu Honor Society, the national honor society for the radiologic and imaging sciences, was established at Clarkson College in 2003 to recognize students who have demonstrated superior academic performance and who have distinguished themselves as leaders within the Radiography Program.

Clarkson College first began offering courses in Radiologic Technology in 1991. Soon thereafter, the College began seeking an honor society to recognize students who excelled in the field. It eventually selected Lambda Nu, and chose Delta as the name for the Clarkson College chapter.

In the Greek alphabet, Delta refers to strength, power, ability and acting with precision. These characteristics are abundantly present in Clarkson College members.

Today the Delta Chapter continues to grow in membership. Each year, students with at least a 3.2 GPA may be inducted if they have been enrolled in the Radiography program for a minimum of two semesters. The society focuses on community service and plans a yearly outing for the members.
