Student Resources Update

We appreciate your resilience and perseverance as you continue pursuing your education and balancing your personal responsibilities. We hope you know that your well-being is our top priority as we work to ensure your safety and continue to deliver the quality education you expect from Clarkson College.

Across the country, many jobs have been lost and daycares have closed, which may leave you experiencing concern and uncertainty. We understand there may be fear and financial hardships during these challenging times, so Clarkson College is working with the federal government regarding the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, Economic Security (CARES) Act to determine all our options to financially assist students.

In the interim, we have outlined resources and other financial assistance opportunities for your consideration at www.clarksoncollege.edu/coronavirus/student-resources/, which is linked from our coronavirus update page. Resources include parking rebates and free counseling services for all students, as well as community support services related to local food pantries, federal unemployment benefits and free internet services. I urge you to take a few minutes to review these resources and understand the services available to you.

If you are a student in need of emergency financial assistance, we encourage you to apply for the Clarkson College Emergency Fund through a form located on our website. If you need guidance during the process, please contact the Director of Academic Success Dr. Julie Taylor-Costello at taylorcostellojulie@clarksoncollege.edu.

While most of our interactions have transitioned online, the College community is here for you. Faculty and staff members are available and dedicated to your education and support. At this time, the summer semester will begin according to the 2019-20 academic calendar. The College is currently evaluating whether or not on-campus courses will remain online with limited in-person interactions for labs and other student programming. We will keep you informed of any and all updates. For now, please continue to communicate with your faculty, program director, academic advisors and College staff members as you work toward the successful completion of your degree.

Sincerely,

Dr. Aubray Orduña
Interim President of Clarkson College
