Joey Battles, M.A. Ed., R.T.(R)(CT)(QM)(MR)(ARRT)

Associate Professor

Joey Battles, M.A. Ed., R.T.(R)(CT)(QM)(MR)(ARRT), is an Associate Professor in the Clarkson College Radiography and Medical Imaging programs. He earned his Associate’s degree in Radiography from Gadsden State Community College, and his Bachelor’s degree in Advanced Imaging and Master’s degree in Allied Health Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education degree.

Mr. Battles is currently certified and registered in radiography, computed tomography, quality management and magnetic resonance imaging. He previously taught for Clarkson College from 1996 – 2006 and returned in 2016. He has experience in both programmatic accreditation and national certification, working at both the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology and the American Registry of Radiologic Technology.

To stay abreast of the changing field, Battles is a member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologist, Nebraska Society of Radiologic Technologists, and the Association of Educators in Imaging and Radiologic Sciences. He is also a member of the Delta Chapter of the Lambda Nu National Honor Society.
