Heartsaver® Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Course

The Heartsaver® Pediatric First Aid CPR AED course is designed to meet regulatory requirements for child care workers in all 50 states. The course teaches child care providers and others to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. The program teaches infant CPR, child CPR, and the use of an AED. Students also learn first aid skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies.

Students also have the option to complete modules in adult CPR and AED.

This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in first aid, CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory or other requirements, such as childcare workers, parents, grandparents, babysitters, school personnel and coaches.

Course Length

This is a blended-learning course including a 2.5-hour online program to be completed at the student’s pace and an in-person skills session with an AHA instructor which usually lasts approximately 1 hour.

Course Materials

Upon registration, you will be given access to the online program. There is no textbook for this course.


Certification Course Card

Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a Heartsaver® Pediatric First Aid CPR AED certification course card, which is valid for two years.

Cancellation Policy

Class fees are non-refundable. Refunds are not provided if an individual cancels, does not attend or does not complete the entire class.
