Financial Wellness

March 2-6, 2020

The Clarkson College Financial Aid department is dedicated to helping students and staff learn about financial well-being in all aspects of their professional and personal lives. During Financial Wellness Week, students and staff can participate in events designed to help you gain insight into everyday financial practices and develop healthy habits when it comes to spending and budgeting.

What is Financial Psychology?

Students and staff will gain insights into financial psychology and how it can help you become a more balanced, healthy individual. This is an IPE-approved event.

It Pays to Budget

When: 2:30–4 p.m.
Where: First Floor of the Student Center

Students can stop by our table in the Student Center to learn about budgeting tips and tricks as well as information on financial responsibility.

Tax Preparation 101

Bring your own lunch and dessert will be provided.

Snack & Share Event
When: 4:30–5:30 p.m.

Staff and students are invited to gain a basic understanding of how to begin the tax process.

Students and staff will explore the connection between emotional wellbeing & finances.

 

Financial Avenue

Clarkson College students may enter to win a $500 scholarship, and staff may enter to win a gift card prize by completing educational courses through Financial Avenue. You must complete at least one, 30-minute online course to be entered, and the more courses you complete, the more times your name will be entered. Scholarship and gift card winners will be announced Friday, March 13.

How to Enter

  1. Visit www.financialavenue.org and click the Sign Up button.
  2. Select the Sign Up tab and enter access code 150FWW.
  3. Enter your registration information and click the Create My New Account button.
  4. Select and complete your course(s).

You must score 70 percent or higher in order to be entered into the drawings.
