Degree Overview

The Associate of Science in Health Information Technology and Bachelor of Science in Community Health dual degree option is geared toward students who have an interest in using their skills in a variety of settings. This may include a hospital/clinic/insurance environment, or more community-based public health departments, social service agencies, or non-profit organizations. This dual program option provides students the opportunity to broaden their understanding of health care and expand on their Health Information Technology degree by focusing on two of these Community Health concentrations: Public Health, Human Services, Gerontology, Women’s Health, or Healthcare Business. The HIT and Community Health program directors will work together as your co-advisors, creating an individualized course sequence plan that integrates courses from both programs.
